There are just over two months left and the Europe of Masters runners and walkers on road will meet in Grosseto (Italy) for the first continental outdoor event of 2022. From 12 to 15 May the main city of the “Maremma Toscana” will host these championships, symbol of the complete return to sport after the bad period that the whole world has gone through due to the pandemic.
The news is that Master athletes (Over 35) from ALL NATIONALITIES can register to races, not just EMA member federations athletes. Non-European athletes obviously will not be able to aspire to the title of continental champion.
The EMACNS (European Masters Athletics Championships Non-Stadia) of Grosseto 2022 will take place between the Sports Center in Via Mercurio and the Sandro Pertini Park in Viale Giotto, where all the racewalking competitions will take place. In addition, the historic city center will be the protagonist by hosting the half marathon circuit on the “Medici walls” that will start and arrive in Viale Uranio, adjacent to the Sports Center in Via Mercurio. There will also be space for the Nordic Walking competitions, which will take place in the pine forest of Marina di Grosseto.
Entries are already open from January 25th and will close at midnight on April 25th 2022.
