Last indoor results: Dmytrenko the best with 18’52” on the 5000m of Kiev

Indoor season immediately vibrant thanks to several good results from France, Great Britain and Ukraine.

Val-de-Reuil (FRA), 6 Jan – The french walker Kévin Campion has won alone the racewalk 5000m in the indoor meeting valid as regional championship of Normandy, obtaining the time of 19’40”44.

Sheffield (GBR), 7 Jan – Victory and national title for the young U23 Callum Wilkinson with a time of 11’30”77 on racewalk 3000m , followed by Cameron Corbishley in 12’24”99 and Tom Partington in 12’55”61. In the corresponding women’s race, victory and national title for Gemma Bridge in 13’40”03, followed by Erika Kelly in 14’01”64, from the polish Agatha Kowalska in 14’06”61, and from the english Ana Garcia who in 14’53”50 wins the bronze of the championships. In addition to the 3000m there was also the 1000m race U15.

Kiev (UKR), 9 Jan – In the meeting that opened the ukrainian indoor season, Ruslan Dmytrenko won the 5000m race with a good time of 18’52”94, followed by his national team-mates Ivan Losev in 19’02”59 and Serhiy Budza in 19’43”14. In the women’s race podium composed of Alina Tsviliy in 22’55”10, Dariya Khusainova in 24’02”55 and Iryna Koval in 24’46”49..
